Kaleidoscopic Sculptures series

We find ourselves with the results of imperfect angles and edges of the “sculpture” or subject photographed appealing to a type of ‘wabi sabi’ aesthetic. This “kaleidoscopic sculptures” series ignites an inquiring wonder created by the photographic framing that makes in each intersection of edges a subtle thin line between what we know and what we don’t know about the resulting shape’s size, direction or position.

INK SCULPTURES series

Now the question of how often do we see something new? Is a colateral venture of this project called “instant sculptures” and this first specific color series called “ink sculptures”.

SUGAR CANE HEROES portrait series

Ignacio Calleja chose to get inspired for this photographic series from a text written by Mahatma Gandhi called “The Talisman”. In this photographic series Ignacio Calleja is trying to bring “the face of the poorest and weakest man whom you may have seen” to more audiences with the purpose of a much more felt reflexion about how the next “step you contemplate is going to be of any use” for “the hungry and spiritually starving millions”.
